On QUITTING…

“You can quit anything that no longer serves you. Just don't quit LIFE.”

Dear girls,

My parents' generation had the philosophy that "quitters are losers" - that if you planned to do something, started doing it, and learned that you hated it, then basically....

"Oh well, do it anyway. That was the plan and other people are judging you based on your plan. You wouldn't want to get a reputation for being a quitter now would you?"

That is NOT what I want you to believe.

You can quit anything in your lifetime that is not serving you. So long as you are running towards a better knowing and not away from a fear. So long as you do it with integrity, kindness and respect. And so long as you are aware of anyone your decision impacts, and invest the necessary effort to make them whole in the experience. As long as you check those boxes, you can quit relationships with people, quit jobs, quit classes, quit trips, quit habits, quit beliefs. I quit launching a co-founded venture with a business partner who had invested $60,000 to get it off the ground when I realized I wanted to spend more time raising you than growing a business I wasn't truly passionate about. Kendra already quit dance class before the age of 2 because she realized she just loved dancing to her own tune; not listening to grownups she didn’t know tell her what moves to do.
Guess what? We survived! You can quit anything...

Just don't quit life

The children and teen suicide rate continues to increase. It is already so scary to your father and I, and we have a LONG way to go before you even know what that word means. Those kids who committed suicide were programmed to believe that they didn't have an "out" from certain experiences on earth, or if they sought one, it would be shameful. So they chose to quit life instead. What an unbearable loss.

Know this, my beloved daughters...

So long as you are breathing, the world will benefit so much from the gifts you have to offer and the uniqueness of your magical beings. AND, there are so many people who deeply love you and are willing to go to great lengths to support you in your journey of giving and receiving the gifts of love, joy, laughter and more throughout the course of the Divine life you were created to have.

In EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE you have, you will either like it or learn from it. It will either serve you or not serve you. Be reflective and simply use the information you receive within yourself to plan your next best move

It may be to continue, it may be to sit with it a little longer, it may be to quit. Any of those options are okay. Just never quit life.

With all my love, and excitement to share my WHOLE life with you!
